Never be afraid to have a go. If you have an idea you need the courage, determination and drive to make it happen. Having done this I am now proud to say I have built up an award winning national business.
Who's inspired you?: 
Many people have inspired me throughout my life. Recently I met Emma Harrison CBE who is the founder and owner of A4e and was the first female to take part in The Secret Millionaire. A local lady, Sally Sedgman is a broadcaster, after dinner speaker and compere. She is a very dynamic lady and a natural leader of women giving great encouragement to all she meets.
What sums up inspiration for you?: 
Inspiration for me is seeing someone elses achievements and believing that I too can do that. From my founding of The Old Bag Company I have been invited to many women's events as an inspirational business women. After my first talk many women came up to me at the end and said how inspired my story was to them. This made me realise that my story is inspiring and I have achieved alot in the 5 years I have had my business.
Experiences I can share: 
Winning my first Award in 2007 was a great recognition for all my hard work. This year I was invited to become a Fellow of The Royal Society of Arts in recognition of my innovative founding of The Old Bag Company and my prominent public position as an inspirational business woman. I am involved with South West Education Business Partnerships where schools/universities ask me to come and speak about my experiences to students. I am also a Mentor to 2 business women I love to be able to help women and inspire them as I think it is so important for women in business to have support and encourage them that they can do it. I am an ordinary mother of 5 children and if I can succeed so can you. From my experiences business is a learning curve so it is useful to talk to other likeminded business people. Enjoy the high moments and remember these when you have the low moments.
