Quote or Ethos you live by:
There is no point in doing something unless you are going to do it right!
Who's inspired you?:
My P7 teacher at Primary School - her enthusiasm for science was infectious and her way of teaching made learning science a real adventure. This passion for science and how things work has remained with me ever since.
What sums up inspiration for you?:
Inspiration is where something ordinary is turned into something extraordinary through the passion of one person or a group of people.
Experiences I can share:
I have seven years experience in water engineering and am currently managing the construction of a flood alleviation scheme with river restoration and environmental improvements to the river corridor. Through my time at work, I have also been involved in many science and engineering activities with school children of all ages and have given many careers talks / hosted careers stands on behalf of Atkins and the Institution of Civil Engineers. I won the Womens Engineering Society Karen Burt Memorial Award for the Most Outstanding Newly Chartered Female Engineer of 2010.
