Quote or Ethos you live by:
"Do what you can, with what you have, where you are." Theodore Roosevelt
“One who smiles rather than rages is always the stronger” (Japanese Proverb)
Who's inspired you?:
Leonardo Davinci with his inquisitive mind, inventions, architecture and beautiful art.
The women in my family, because of their drive and the men , because of their amazing sense of humour, intelligence and humbleness.
Finally, of course, my fantastic friends.
What sums up inspiration for you?:
Inspiration is a seed that one plants in the heart of another.
Experiences I can share:
Architecture is present everywhere, and the built form impacts on our everyday lives. Moving forward, working in this industry will need to evolve in very interesting ways in order to address the ever changing layers of the world. New ideas will be required to deal with the changes in the population and the way we life our life.
I am very passionate about the profession and I do think that sometimes, assumptions are made about the profile of an architect that may discourage young girls from pursuing this path. I would love to help changing this.
I have, in the past, organised architectural workshops with children to encourage them to think about the way they live . I have also given an image based presentation to another group in order to show how architecture is linked to its context and inhabitants. I am comfortable developing an idea, similar to these or completely different, to help demystifying a profession that can open many doors.
